Retina

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

The retina is the nerve layer that lines the back of your eye. The retina’s function is to sense light and create impulses that are sent through the optic nerve and to the brain. Many conditions and diseases could occur at this sensitive part of the eye such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Lattice degeneration, Retinal Detachment, Retinal Artery or Vein Occlusion, Macular Edema, and Macular holes. The treatment approach will be determined once the eye is examined and properly diagnosed.
